This is an evolving section. Right now, it’s comprised mainly of travel images from the past few years, but I expect it to change. For the time being, it’s here in this form because A, travel is one of those fundamentals in my life that never fail to recharge and inspire me, and B, I take tons of photos. I started carrying a camera when I was fifteen, spent ten years working in one-hour photo labs starting at seventeen, and started traveling seriously at eighteen. That adds up to a ton of photos over the years.
Since I’ve often traveled alone, photography’s always been a fairly intimate medium for me, not unlike keeping a journal. Posting work publicly has a very different function, of course: with the Manila photos in particular, this is about maintaining long-distance ties and wanting a greater public to know about the amazing things happening there.
